This short course is designed to increase your chances of success in finding meaningful employment. It is especially suitable for individuals already volunteering or with some work experience. The course is tailored to meet your individual needs and skill levels.

The basics of job hunting includes: • How to assess your work skills and identify your strengths. • Techniques for completing online job applications. • Creating a tailored CV to match different industries. • Essential skills and knowledge expected by employers across various sectors.

This course is delivered in an IT classroom, providing access to necessary equipment and direct support from the teacher. Assessment will be a combination of on-screen multiple-choice questions and a portfolio showcasing your work throughout the course.

There are no formal entry requirements, but you should be working at a minimum of Functional Skills Entry 3 or Level 1 ESOL. Basic computer skills, including creating documents and internet searching, are also required. If you do not have evidence of these skills, an initial assessment will confirm if this course is right for you.
