Employability: Search and Apply

This 2.5-hour workshop is designed to help you search and apply for jobs effectively, improving your chances of success in gaining employment. You will gain valuable skills and techniques to support your job search journey.

How to identify and use online tools to assist in searching and applying for jobs. • How to select the right search terms and locate job opportunities in your chosen location or field. • How to complete an application form professionally and effectively. • Identify different recruitment strategies employers use.

The workshop will include group activities, discussions, and a small amount of written work. You will be guided by experienced tutors in a supportive and interactive environment.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, as the course involves using IT, you should have basic IT skills. If you are unsure, consider enrolling in our Learn how to use your Google Classroom or Digital Skills for Beginners courses beforehand. Additionally, you will need a minimum of Level 1 English skills (ESOL or Functional Skills) to fully benefit from the course. If this is not the case, an alternative option is available to support you.
