History and Literature
Our variety of History and Literature courses give learners the skills and knowledge about different topics, cultures and techniques.
Our history courses allow learners to explore how past events and people have impacted the society that we know today. We aim to deliver a range of thought-provoking and immersive courses.
Individuals can develop awareness of contemporary issues which in turn can lead to wider discussions about politics, social fabric, and philosophy.
This year, these courses include Ancient Greek Philosophy and Science Fiction, Art Appreciation, Great Painters, the Impressionist Period, British Political History, LGBT History, BAME Communities and the fall of the Berlin wall.
Our Creative Writing courses aim to equip learners with the skills needed to confidently develop their individual writing style. Learners are encouraged to read for pleasure and critical analysis. These courses have a positive impact on creativity, wellbeing, and the way writers interpret and present the world.
This year our courses look at a range of different authors, explore a range of techniques, from editing work to creating authentic and memorable characters, to looking at different genres such as ghost stories and science.
