Psychology of Happiness

This course is aimed at anyone who is interested in learning about happiness and positive psychology as a means of improving their sense of wellbeing. This is a two hour course and is open to anyone.

Psychology from the perspective of taking control and being positive. You will identify what makes you happy and how to optimise your experiences to improve your sense of wellbeing and happiness.

This is short two hour course with no exams or qualifications. Tutor lead and taught in a small group, classroom setting, there is a focus on sharing personal experiences and participating in practical activities. The course relies on learners being willing and able to express their feelings and experiences and there is an emphasis on group support and confidentiality. This short course is repeated each term during the academic year.

Beginners and those with some experience

The course will enhance your sense of wellbeing and hopefully enable you to better understand what you need to do to be more positive and happier. This may enable you to participate more effectively socially and in courses if you are already enrolled, or give you the boost you need to enable you to enrol on other courses within Leicester Adult Education Service or in the community.
