English Level 1/Level 2 (Functional Skills) FAST TRACK

Our fast-track English Functional Skills course is designed for those with limited time due to work or childcare commitments. Over an intensive three-week period, you will gain the essential skills and knowledge to successfully pass Level 1 or 2 exams.

You will improve your abilities in: • Spelling, punctuation, and grammar. • Speaking and listening in everyday situations. • Reading and understanding written texts. • Writing for different purposes such as formal emails and letters or blogs.

• Classes run Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3pm, for 12 days plus exam days, during the summer term. • Face-to-face and online sessions with recorded speaking and listening assessments • Online support via Google Classroom and other platforms • Daily homework assignments • Final exams at the end of the course You will need to attend every session on time and complete all homework assignments to successfully complete the course. The learning environment combines face-to-face teaching with online resources to ensure you get the most out of the experience.

• Complete a pre-course assessment or have achieved the previous level within three years • Commit to attending all 12 days of the course plus exam days • Have regular access to a PC, laptop, or tablet, stable internet connection and a quiet place to study • Complete a Google Classroom course

Upon completion, you will gain confidence to use English in everyday situations, progress onto other English or vocational courses, and enhance your employability skills with a recognised qualification.
